How TekOrbit handles website information.
This notice explains the personal information we may receive through TekOrbit.uk and how it is used.
Who we are
TekOrbit is a UK-based technology retailer. For privacy questions, contact Business@tekorbit.uk.
Information we collect
When you contact us, we may receive your name, email address, product or marketplace information, order number and any information you include in your message. We also receive ordinary technical information needed to operate and secure the website, such as server logs and IP addresses.
Why we use it
We use this information to answer enquiries, provide pre-sales information, administer warranty or after-sales support, investigate problems, protect the website from misuse and meet legal or accounting obligations where applicable.
Our lawful basis
Depending on the situation, processing may be necessary to respond before entering into a contract, to perform a contract with you, to comply with a legal obligation, or for our legitimate interests in operating and protecting the business and supporting customers.
How long we keep information
We keep enquiry and support information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected, including any appropriate warranty, dispute, accounting or legal period. We may retain essential transaction records for longer where the law requires this.
Who information may be shared with
We do not sell your personal information. Information may be processed by service providers that help us operate the website, email or hosting, and may be shared with Amazon, eBay, delivery providers, manufacturers or professional advisers where this is necessary to deal with an order, support request or legal obligation.
Your rights
UK data protection law may give you rights over your personal information, including access, correction, deletion or restriction in appropriate circumstances. You can contact us at Business@tekorbit.uk. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office if you are unhappy with how your information has been handled.
Cookies
TekOrbit.uk uses cookies or similar storage only where needed for normal website operation and settings unless additional optional services are introduced. If analytics, advertising or other non-essential tracking is added in future, the site should be updated so visitors receive the appropriate information and consent choices before that tracking is used.
